Description of the restoration of a container / exhibitor of precious of semi-industrial products.
State of affairs before the operation
The surface of the box was covered with a thick layer of dirt and grease caused by use of the exhibitor. (Img 1.2)
They were present on the top cover some grouted clumsily with pink stucco. Wet melattici elements nickel were in an advanced state of oxidation. (Img 3, 4, 5, 6)
The surgery
The object has been cleaned with concentata aqueous emulsion of anionic surfactants and non-ionic surfactants in a concentration from 5 to 8% in water. (Img 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15)
The oxidation of the hardware has been mitigated by mechanical action and subsequently stabilized with protective varnish based on naphtha and mineral spirits. (Img 16, 17)
It proceeded to reinstatement of the only protective paint in places where this was absent. The replenishing paint was applied with a brush, while the original spray. On the whole surface it was finally applied beeswax with protective and aesthetic functions. (Img 18, 19, 20, 21)
